Q: If our date is available, what is the next step?

If your wedding date is available the next step is to arrange an informal meeting where I can show you further samples of my work/sample albums and you can tell me all about your wedding plans.

Q: I don’t live in Scotland and wouldn’t be able to meet you in person, is that a problem?

That is no problem at all. I have clients from all over the world and emails, phone calls or a meeting on Skype are a great alternative.

Q: If we decided to proceed with booking you as our wedding photographer, how do we secure our wedding date?

Should you wish to book me as your wedding photographer, you are required to fill in my wedding photography contract and pay a deposit of £500.

Q: What happens if another couple is interested to book you for the same date as our wedding and we haven’t made up our mind yet?

In this case, I will contact you immediately (I operate on a first come, first served basis) to avoid you loosing out, but I would then need a quick decision as I can’t hold a date without a deposit and signed contract.

Q: What methods of payment do you accept?

I accept bank transfers and Paypal should you wish to pay with a credit card.

Q: When is the outstanding amount due?

The outstanding amount is due two weeks before your wedding and I will send you an invoice a few weeks prior to the date.

Q: If our wedding is at a venue that you haven’t been to before, will you visit the venue before the wedding?

It isn’t really necessary for me to visit the venue prior to your wedding – on the day I will arrive a bit early and have a look around. In my opinion it’s nice to be at a venue that I haven’t been to before as I see things with fresh eyes.

Q: We are getting married during the week (Mon.-Thur.) and are only looking for a few hours of coverage. Is this possible?

Yes. I offer a small wedding package with up to 5h coverage. If you are looking for less hours I can sometimes accommodate that too. Get in touch to find out more.

Q: Do you take group photos and how long will this take?

It’s completely up to you. I tend to nearly always take a few group shots of the wedding party and their immediate families (approx. up to 10 different variations), unless my clients specify that they don’t want any group photographs. If you decide to have group photos taken, please provide me with a list before the wedding day. The group photographs usually take no longer than 20-25 minutes, with minimal posing of you and your family – so you can get back to your guests quickly and enjoy yourselves!

Q: When will our wedding pictures be ready?

Approximately within three to four weeks after your wedding your private online gallery will be up and running and you can then view your photos online.

Q: Can our friends and families purchase photos from our wedding?

Yes they can. Your private online gallery includes a print ordering service which is available for 6 months after your wedding date.

Q: We’re not sure yet if we want an album or not. Can we decide to purchase one at a later date?

Yes, totally. My packages allow you to purchase an album any time after the wedding. A lot of my couples purchase an album for their first anniversary which is paper and therefore quite fitting.
